Green Strategies 1. Energy Efficiency  Ideal orientation of towers with the majority of windows facing north-south directions  Apartment windows and sliding doors shaded with balconies as well as horizontal and vertical sun-shading devices  Concrete roofs are well insulated to reduce heat gain  Lobbies and corridors on typical floors are naturally ventilated and daylit  45 numbers of car parking bays have access to charging points for charging electric  Energy efficient lighting provided for common area - LED fittings at lift lobbies, and corridors; and T5 fluorescent lights at carparks, plant rooms, and escape staircases  All lifts in development are regenerative drive type where the regenerated power is used back in the building grid 2. Water Efficiency  Rainwater harvesting resulting in reduction of common area potable water consumption of > 50% and no potable water consumption for landscape irrigation  Water efficient fittings resulting in reduction of potable water consumption of > 50%  Recycling of fire system test water for sprinkler and wet riser systems 3. Indoor Environmental Quality  Low VOC paints used on all internal walls and ceilings 4. Reducing Heat Island Effect  Extensive softscape covering 26% of total development area  Edible landscaping in the form of herb or food species make up 17% of the total softscape area 5. Resource Conservation  Building materials with high recycled content used where the recycled content cost constitutes 33% of the total project material cost  Regional materials sourced from within 500km of the site used where the cost constitutes 35% of total project material cost  Reusable aluminium system formwork used to reduce reliance on workers, improve workmanship and reduce waste  Optimal use of concrete by structural elements being efficiently designed with reduction in sizes. The resultant Concrete Usage Index (CUI) is 0.41 m 3 /m2 which is much lower than the CUI of conventional reinforced concrete buildings. 6. Waste Reduction  Recycling bins provided in convenient locations for residents to recycle their household waste  QLASSIC score of 71%  IBS score of 51%
